Ikkarim: Core Values
Parenting Through a Jewish Lens

Parenting is awe-inspiring.  Beyond the practical issues of how to get your child to eat right and get enough sleep, parenting invokes in all of us deeper questions about meaning and values. The course, Ikkarim: Core Values takes parents on an inspirational journey through Jewish sources of wisdom.  Enjoy stimulating, interactive discussions with an outstanding instructor in a welcoming environment.  Learn how Judaism's sage perceptions about the human condition can enrich your relationships with your family and wider community.

Classes begin in October, 2010.  Further details to follow.

What past participants are saying:

“Our teacher was amazing! I looked forward to the class … and to the camaraderie and everything we learned. I wish there was a Part Two!”

“I began the class in order to learn more for my children; now I am interested for myself. Outstanding experience overall.”

“As a non-Jew (who is raising a Jewish family) I was a bit apprehensive about entering the class, and even a temple at which I am not a member. From the beginning, the instructors have been extremely welcoming and encouraging to all students!"

"As I am new to Judaism, I really value the theological and intellectual explorations of the texts. I love the way we then apply basic tenets to our lives and relationships, both with our children and others. This class has definitely inspired me to study further."
